Same here- need a break already. By lens standards it’s not super expensive, but still a decent amount (£450/$600). I think it should be repairable, it just depends how much it costs compared to a decent used one.

Tokina 11-16mm. It’s a great lens but not something I end up using that often (though the same could be said for the rest of my DSLR kit recently).

Seems like a nice lens, too bad it broke.

Yeah, I know the feeling of having a great lens but barely using it. I bought a 50mm prime lens a year ago, and I don’t think I used it 15 times since then.

I adore my 50mm prime lens. It’s just the most basic f1.8 Nikon unit, but invariably it’s the one I leave on the camera

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love the pictures it takes (very impressive for a €100 lens), but I just need to get more used to the different way of using it compared to the more versatile 18-55mm lens.

I pretty much only use my 50mm, but to each their own! I’m just a sucker for shallow depth of field... it almost never moves from f1.4

Ouch! Sorry to hear that. I took apart a lens (albeit an old lens from eBay) to try and fix it once. I still have it... separately bagged in pieces in a box
